PAF26 is a cell penetrating antimicrobial peptide (CP-AMP) with strong activity against fungi that cause postharvest decay in fruits, such as strains of Penicillium italicum, Penicillium digitatum, and Botrytis cinerea and is also active against Fusarium oxysporum.
