| Description | Melan-A is a melanocyte differentiation antigen recognized by cytotoxic T lymphocytes. This sequence is a naturally occurring Melan-a/MART-1 nonamer peptide. Melan-A/MART-1 gene is expressed in normal melanocytes, as well as most fresh melanoma samples and melanoma cell lines. This peptide is a very common immunogenic epitope of HLA-A2-restricted melanoma-specific tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL), which may contribute to the development of immunotherapy strategies. |
