Neurogranin is a post-synaptic protein expressed in dendritic cytoplasm. It regulates calcium-mediated signaling pathways and plays a key role in synaptic plasticity. In recent years, neurogranin (48-76) has been identified as the main neurogranin peptide fragment in the human brain, and neurogranin (48-76) levels in the cerebrospinal fluid of patients with Alzheimer's disease have been found to increase.
